Man of Steel Breaks Phils. First Day Gross Record P69.52M

The newest movie from Warner Bros., Man of Steel breaks the Philippines first-day box office gross after it garnered a total of P69.52 million during its first day of showing various theaters nationwide.

The first-day box office income of Superman breaks the previous record set by Iron Man 3 last April which has a recorded P62.9 million during its first day of showing.

Francis Soliven, the general manager of Warner Bros. (F.E.), Inc., the films distributor made the announcement to the press earlier today.

The movie, Man of Steel features a star-studded Hollywood casts headed by Henry Cavill who played the role as Kent or Superman in the movie.

Some of the prominent names in Hollywood that are part of the movie are, Michael Shannon, Kevin Costner, Diane Lane, Laurence Fishburne, Antje
Traue, Ayelet Zurer, Christopher Meloni and Academy Award winner Russell
Crowe.
