Pres. Duterte: “I Believe in the Version of the Police” (Video)

Pres. Rody Duterte upon arrival in the Philippines from his official state visit with Malaysia and Thailand clarified that he “believed in the version of the police” when asked about his stance with the controversial death of Mayor Espinosa.

The first President from Mindanao defended the PNP on the alleged killing of former Albuera Leyte Mayor Rolando Espinosa. He was quoted as saying “I believe in the version of the police.”

Although it is not clear whether he was referring to the CIDG version or the version of Albuera chief of police, he also clarified if they gathered evidences against the cops, cases should be filed.

Pres. Duterte was quoted as saying “If they have evidence to prove otherwise, cases should be filed vs. the police” the President of the Philippines added.

The 71-year-old President also promised to the authorities that they would enjoy the full support of the President on their war against drugs. “I will protect and will support the police in this drive against illegal drugs” Duterte added.

Pres. Duterte once again noted that he pushed the police to the limits and he’s going to take the full responsibility on the war against drugs and he is ready to rot in jail and it’s more important to him to do his promise during the campaign period.
