Veteran TV host and broadcast journalist Karen Davila made an unsolicited advice to the President of the Philippines by posting it on social media. Davila suggested Pres. Duterte to fixed the passport application problem first before any charter change.

The statement of Karen Davila came out on social after numerous calls of netizens urging the government to look into the case of the controversial online reservation for passport application wherein there is no vacant slot for the next three months.

Davila tweeted “Dear Mr. President, bago ang pagbabago ng sistema ng gubyerno ayusin muna ang passport application sa DFA,” Davila tweeted.

The veteran journalist who is now the host of ABS-CBN’s “Bandila and ANC’s Headstart added further that “Bakit nagkakaganito?! Simpleng passport nagwawala mga tao – walang appointment, nagkagulo sa pila sa Manila City Hall. Sabi nyo ayaw nyo ng pila – unahin na ito please,” she added.

For the past few days, the Online Passport Appointment of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) under the leadership of Sec. Alan Peter Cayetano had been mired with controversies because of the fact that all the slots for the succeeding three months were already filled.

Although the scheduled days were already filled with application, there are still reports on social media that there are vacancy but you could only avail of such service at a higher than usual cost.
