Liberal Party President and considered as one of the leader of the opposition in the Philippine Senate, Sen. Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan keeps on complaining against the Duterte admin’s prohibition of foreign activists in participating on political rallies in the country without knowing that his ally and former DOJ Secretary Leila De Lima approved such prohibition.

Sen. Kiko Pangilinan expressed alarm over what he described as the “emerging trend on crackdown” against foreign activists in the country. The senator also noted that Giacomo Filibeck, an Italian official of the European Union’s Socialist Party was barred from attending a local conference in Cebu.
Watch the Video Showing Sen. Kiko’s Failure:

The foreigner Filibeck was deported for being in the Bureau of Immigration’s (BI) blacklist. In defense of Filibeck, Sen. Pangilinan according to some netizens doesn’t seem to know the law. The worst case scenario is the fact that it was Kiko’s ally, Sen. Leila De Lima who approved a prohibition against foreigners.

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque on his part explained that aside from the law, the Commonwealth Act No. 613, there is also an Operation Orders No. SBM 2015-025, Prohibition on Foreign Tourists in Engaging in Political Activities in the Philippines.
The Prohibition was signed by Bureau of Immigration Commissioner Siegfred B. Mison and approved and signed by former Justice Secretary Leila De Lima. The Prohibition approved by Sen. De Lima is considered by some netizens as a slap to the face of Sen. Kiko Pangilinan.
Here’s the Operation Order Signed by Sen. De Lima:
