Must Watch: Alleged Armed Person Killed in an Shooting Incident Inside the Cebu Archbishop Compound

An alleged unidentified armed person was killed in a shooting inside the Cebu Archbishop Palace Compound in Cebu City but Police authorities already confirmed that Archbishop Jose Palma, the former head of the CBCP is safe from his attacker.

The incident happened past 11:00 PM, an unidentified personnel tried to attack the Archbispop Palace but the security personnel was able to stop the attacked and immediately asked for Police assistance.

Police immediately responded to the call made by the security guards and ordered the unidentified armed person to stop and lie down but the armed person fired first at the responding officers with his 357 revolver pistol causing his untimely death.

The armed person was riding his red motorcycle that is now under the custody of the PNP. Aside from the gun recovered, the PNP also recovered a bladed weapons. The armed men was identified as Jeffrey Canedo, an alleged resident of Tungkil, Minglanilla.

Archbishop Jose Palma was appointed Archbishop of Cebu by Pope Benedict XVI on 15 October 2010. He had previously served as Archbishop of Palo in Leyte. He also served as president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines from 2011-2013.
