P1.4 Million Worth of Bribe Money for ABC President Turn-Over by Barangay Captains of T’boli, South Cotabato

Mayor Dibu Tuan of T’boli, South Cotabato revealed to the local media in Koronadal that P1.4 million worth of bribe money was turned-over by the Barangay Captains of his town as evidence for an alleged massive vote buying activities for the position as Association of Barangay Captain (ABC) President of the town.

According to Mayor Dibu Tuan in an interview with Bombo Radyo Koronadal, the Barangay Captains of his town personally turned-over the cold cash to him as he felt disappointed with the said candidate for ABC President or any group participating in the bribery.

Mayor Tuan also noted that the bribe money is a form of insult to the people of T’boli and the entire tribe.

Based upon the calculations of the Mayor’s Office at least P150,000 were allegedly given to a total 12 up to 25 barangay captains in his municipality.

Mayor Dibu Tuan is now preparing to file a disqualification case against the accused leaders as they plan to use the recovered cash and the testimonies of the leaders as evidence in the court of law.
