According to a news report by GMA News’ Jonathan Andal of Super Radyo dzBB’s “Dobol B sa News TV” that the police contingent has been deployed to ensure public safety and order in the event of a possible protest actions that might erupt following any possible ruling on Trillanes’ case.

Andal stated that the members of the Police Team were not armed, but were ordered to be ready with their skills in addressing civil disturbance.

Sen. Antonio Trillanes might be arrested anytime if the Makati RTC Branch 148 would issue an order for his arrest for coup d’etat, which is a non-bailable case. Authorities expect protest actions should the court order the arrest of Senator Antonio Trillanes.

Earlier this week, Sen. Trillanes was arrested after the Makati RTC Branch 150 ordered the arrest of the senator for rebellion case, but Sen. Trillanes was able to post bail of P200,000.

The senator then returned to the Senate where he has been holed up for several weeks since Pres. Duterte nullified the amnesty given to him for his involvement in the 2003 Oakwood Mutiny and the 2007 Manila Peninsula Siege.
