The young inspiring creative entrepreneur Ashtley Sandoval used to see herself working as a doctor or healthcare worker, but life had better plans for her. She has clients and company partnerships worldwide. She is also a content creator who shares her knowledge about freelancing, personal development, and finance on YouTube and TikTok. Ashtley co-founded the startup agency CoLogic Web, specializing in web design and UI/UX design.
Exploring the Digital and Entrepreneurship World:
At 16, Ashtley Sandoval already began exploring opportunities to make money. It was a pandemic during that time, at the surge of COVID-19, when schools had switched to online classes. Being at home always, she started looking for ways to earn online. She saw many people earning income online, which got her thinking that if they could do it, so could she.
Ashtley Sandoval started selling stuffed toys and clothes online, which sparked her interest in entrepreneurship. She also did a lot of research and learned about drop shipping, e-commerce, and franchising.
Ashtley Sandoval gained business knowledge but lacked sufficient funds to execute what she had learned as a student. Ashtley’s interest expanded beyond business, which led her to study financial literacy and develop an interest in investing and trading. Unfortunately, she still did not have enough funds to pursue these ventures.
Freelancing Journey:
This was when Ashtley started to pursue freelancing, where only a few pieces of equipment and skills were needed. Her first online job was as a Virtual Assistant at a marketing company based in California. Ashtley recalled that she had been rejected multiple times before acquiring her first client. Because of that experience, Ashtley was determined to improve her skill set and industry knowledge.
From Virtual Assistant to In-Demand Designer:
Ashley was enrolled in a journalism program and has been teaching video editing and graphic designing, which gave her an edge when starting as a freelancer. From being a Virtual Assistant, Ashtley transitioned to graphic designing serving several brands and later became a web and application designer and a marketer. This is why she calls herself a creative entrepreneur. Ashtley is currently earning six figures a month.
Bull or Bear Appearance:
Ashtley Sandoval will join the ranks of Donald Lim, Coach Miranda Miner, Tyrone Bretana, Giu Comia, and Nathan Senn at the upcoming Web3 event. The “Bull or Bear” is presented by Bitskwela, an ed-tech platform led by Filipinos, with a mission to ensure that Bitcoin and cryptocurrency education is accessible to people of all ethnicities in the Philippines. “Bull or Bear” is supported by government officials and will also feature Cebu City Second District Representative Eduardo “Edu” Rama, DICT Director Emmy Delfin, and DICT Cebu Engineer Royden Rusiana.
