Mary Elaine Timbol, or simply Elaine Timbol, is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of Sakahon, aiming to revolutionize agriculture in the Philippines. She is a leader and entrepreneur who is making an impact on the agricultural landscape of the country. 

Sakahon is an agricultural technology (agritech) startup based in the Philippines dedicated to revolutionizing agriculture for the betterment of the Philippines and its farmers.

Elaine’s Sakahon team won as National Finalists in the 2021 Youth Agribiz competition initiated by the Department of Agriculture, considering there were 1,800 participating teams from the Philippines. 

In addition to her role at Sakahon, Elaine serves as the acting Chief Operating Officer of the ELTI Group of Companies Inc. Her responsibilities include managing 250 rooms in Angeles City, including those in Hotel Euroasia and ELTI Dormitel.

Educational Background:

In 2021, Elaine Timbol completed the Professional Directors Program conducted by the Institute of Corporate Directors. 

Her educational journey started at De La Salle University, where she graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Marketing Management, laying the foundation for her ventures.

Professional Experience:

After Elaine’s Graduation, she already owns and manages two thriving businesses. One of these is a franchise of Potato Corner in Angeles City, the top-earning provincial branch in the Philippines. 

The other venture is a joint venture with NWE Beauty and Wellness Inc., showcasing her versatility as an entrepreneur.

Elaine Timbol’s entrepreneurial acumen extends to Blossom Forth School, where she directs operations and marketing. Despite the Pandemic, the school has experienced significant enrollment growth under her leadership.

As the CEO and Founder of Sakahon from March 2021 to the Present, Elaine is leading an agritech startup that focuses on providing high-quality seeds to farmers and nurturing the resulting produce until it is ready for sale. 

Sakahon offers technical support and monitoring services to ensure optimal crop growth and quality control.

Elaine has been the Director of Rural Bank of San Narciso, Inc. since January 2022, contributing her expertise to the governance of a financial institution.

Elaine Timbol has been the Acting Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Operations of ELTI Group Inc. since February 2021 up to the Present.

She’s been playing a pivotal role in the growth of ELTI Group Inc., which has evolved into a multi-industry holding company with a strong presence in real estate, education, and logistics.

ELTI Group Inc.:

In 2008, ELTI Group Inc. initially operated in the real estate and law industries and has transformed into a multi-industry holding company.

ELTI Group evolves around the development of Pampanga, with an initial focus on the hotel industry. Starting with just 20 rooms, the company has expanded to manage over 300 rooms in Angeles City, Pampanga.

As the Vice President of Operations of the company, its vision expanded to include affordable quality education for the people of Pampanga, leading to the establishment of Blossom Forth School and Central Luzon Trade School. 

ELTI Group continues diversifying its portfolio and extending its services to other regions, including Cebu and Laguna, through its logistics company. 

The company aims to serve more people and provide employment throughout the Philippines, including the often-neglected agriculture sector.

Sakahon & GCash Partnership:

One of the Philippines’ leading e-wallets, GCash, announced its earlier paTimbol’sps with Sakahon through a pilot Farmer loan initiative aiming to empower and improve the financial literacy and capabilities of the agricultural community in Floridablanca, Pampanga.

GCash, in collaboration with Sakahon, assisted over 30 partner farmers in creating their accounts to allow them to avail of quick and easy cash loans offered by GCash’s credit affiliate, Fuse Lending.

Likewise, the farmers were introduced to other GCash services like Send Money Pay QR and savings and investment solutions.
