Jay Olos is the founder and CEO of OneCFO and is on a mission to democratize access to world-class finance services and technology, empowering small and mid-sized businesses along with fast-growing startups. He is from Metro Manila and is a prominent figure in the e-commerce and fintech landscape of the Philippines. 

The technology enthusiast also served as a former Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Paymongo and the former Vice President of GCash. This is not the first time that Jay Olos served as a CFO because he also worked in the same position at GCash. 

The celebrated Filipino entrepreneur Jay Olos is extremely influential in the Asian fintech world after being named president of Moneymax, a leading personal finance platform in the Philippines, and CFO of CompareAsiaGroup, now known as Hyphen Group.

Educational Background

Jay Olos attended Antipolo National High School and graduated as a Valedictorian in 2002. He studied Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at the Philippine School of Business Administration, where he graduated Cum Laude in 2006. He continued with an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University in 2017-2018. 

Jay completed the CFO Strategic Leadership Development Program at the Asian Institute of Management in 2020 and earned certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Consultant (CFC), Certified Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA)®, and licensed financial planner (AFP).

Professional Experience

Jay Olos was the former CFO of PayMongo and was influential in steering the fast-growing online payments company to success. Paymongo is based in the Philippines; it is an online payments technology company that offers individuals and businesses different products and services to receive payments over the Internet. Paymongo is licensed by Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) as a payment service provider.

Jay was Vice President & CFO at GCash, the Philippines’ first unicorn, backed by heavyweights like Ant Financial, Globe Telecom, and Ayala Corporation. His tenure as Group Head of Finance at MoneyHero Group showcased his expertise building fintech companies across Southeast Asia. 

He also worked as the President and Chairman, Treasurer, and Chief Financial Officer at Moneymax, the leading personal finance platform in the Philippines. He provided a comprehensive platform covering various financial products such as car insurance, credit cards, and personal loans. 

One of Jay’s notable endeavors was being the Founder and CEO of Olos Consulting Group from 2021 to 2022. He established this virtual CFO, online tax compliance & reporting, and online accounting company. Jay Olos is the founder and CEO of OneCFO, a CFOTech and CFO services platform dedicated to small and mid-sized businesses and fast-growing startups. 

OneCFO operates as the Canva for CFOs, offering tech-enabled and AI-driven bookkeeping, tax compliance, and CFO services. The company’s mission is to empower business owners and their teams to focus on managing and growing their businesses while OneCFO takes care of the financial intricacies.

Jay Olos’ former roles include Governance, Risk and Compliance Manager at United Laboratories, Inc., Senior Auditor at PricewaterhouseCoopers Philippines, Assistant Manager, and Business Planning & Analysis at Citi. Citigroup Inc., and Senior Associate at KPMG Philippines
