The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JG Summit Holdings Corporation, operator of all Robinsons Mall nationwide finally speak up and shared his views on the controversial Robinsons Taong Ahas urban legend.
The Taong Ahas allegedly found inside Robinsons Mall is one of the country’s most popular urban legends after it went viral during the 1980’s when actress Alice Dixson allegedly spreads the rumors.
The controversial Robinsons urban legend about the Taong Ahas resurface anew on social media after a criminology student from Palawant went missing after she was last seen entering the premises of Robinsons Mall in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
Lance Gokongwei the CEO of JG Summit speaks up on the infamous “Taong-Ahas” urban legends in one of his interview with the mainstream media.
According to the younger Gokongwei, the taong-ahas urban legend is nothing new and he is very aware of its existence. Lance Gokongwei stated that there’s no taong ahas on Robinsons Mall.
In an interview with fellow businessman and Ayala Corporation Chairman Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, he denied the existence of the taong ahas.
When asked by Ayala about the “taong-ahas” urban legend, Lance Gokongwei responded by saying “That’s a definite false. If there was a snake, my sister Robina would’ve caught it and converted it into a handbag that she sold in Robinsons,” he said.

The resurfacing of the controversial “Taong Ahas” urban legend resurfaced anew after the case of Jovelyn Galleno went viral on social media.
The 22-year-old Jovelyn is a graduating student in Puerto Princesa taking up Bachelor of Sciene in Crimonology, she went viral on social media after she went missing upong entering Robinsons Place in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
Based on the initial CCTV footage released to the media, Jovelyn was seen entering Robinsons Mall. However, the mall failed to show a copy of the CCTV footage of the young student leaving the mall despite the presence of CCTV and all were operational during that time.
The local authorities including the PNP and the Local Government of Puerto Princesa already coordinated with the mall management in order to locate and know the whereabouts of the victim.
Robinsons Mall claimed already that they have nothing to hide regarding the said case and they are willing to cooperate with the authorities.
