Life Before Web3:
Chino Azur resides in Pasay City, Philippines. Before he got into Web3, he spent his time studying and gaming though he admits not being good at both. He only began exploring Web3 when he was looking for several investment ventures.
Chino Azur then discovered cryptocurrency and GameFi, a short-term for Gaming Finance. He eventually became a scholar of a game that allowed him to play and earn tangible rewards. After that, he stumbled upon Non-fungible tokens (NFT) art and was inspired by its endless possibilities.
First NFT Project & Cryptocurrency:
Chino Azur’s first project with cryptocurrency was with ADA, a cryptocurrency built on the Cardano blockchain platform. Launched in 2017, it was named after Ada Lovelace, a mathematician and the first computer programmer.
His first NFT project was with Metadonuts by his friend Ray Piedra. Metadonuts are digital doughnut art that turns into a real doughnut. When a doughnut is sold, part of its profit goes to a charity that feeds street dwellers in Makati City, Philippines.
Community Manager of Ark of Dreams:
The young entrepreneur formerly worked as a Community Manager for Ark of Dreams (AOD). Nicco Viray founded AOD, an online mobile device game that uses blockchain technology, allowing players to earn while playing.
As the community manager, Chino Azur represented Ark of Dreams in speaking engagements and workshops. In a Web3 boot camp at Ateneo De Manila University, Chino Azur talked about Web3 and shared his experiences and insights about the industry.
