HiveFest 2023 Mexico Details of the Event:

The highly anticipated HiveFest 2023 at Rosarito, Mexico, is fast approaching, and the annual gathering of Hive users and its ecosystem will be held this coming Friday, September 22, 2023, until Tuesday, September 26, 2023.

According to the event organizers, HiveFest is themed “Ola Surfista.” The word “Ola” means “wave” in Spanish. The term “Ola” not only represents the rhythmic waves of the beautiful Pacific Ocean that grace Rosarito Beach but also symbolizes the relentless, rhythmic flow of the Hive blockchain, moving forward block by block, as stated by Hive user Roelandp in his post on PeakD.com.

RoelandP also notes that as the Hive users surf the blockchain, why not grab a board and try some IRL (in real life) waves, too?

Short History of HiveFest:

According to the official website of HiveFest, the legacy chain or the former chain celebrated their Steemfest community gathering. HiveFest was rebranded from Steemfest along with the community hardfork from the Steem blockchain to the Hive Blockchain on March 20, 2020.

HiveFest organizers clarified that being the prime community event around the Hive (formerly known as Steem) blockchain software, it was only logical to move along with the community and rebrand SteemFest to HiveFest.

HiveFest was previously considered a one-man show by Hive user RoelandP during most of the preparations, with detailed help from the blockchain support team and great volunteers and production help during the event days.

The HiveFest 2023 in Mexico extends from one man (#roelandp) to a bigger group, as the organizers acknowledged the challenge of combining building a house and organizing a full-fledged annual reunion of Hive users, Hivers, or Hiveans.
