The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) will release the official results of the September 2023 Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) or the Teachers Board Exam for the Elementary Level on Thursday, December 7, 2023. Aside from the LET List of Passers for the secondary levels, the PRC will also release the Top 10 LET passers and the Performance of Schools, which will be added to this page once available online.

The Teachers Board Exam was the second LET Exam for the year 2023 and was conducted last September 24, 2023, in at least 40 testing centers nationwide and one international venue in Bangkok, Thailand.

The PRC conducted the second LET Exam for the year 2023; it was held in various testing centers in some parts of the Philippines, including Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

According to the PRC, the September 2023 LET passers must obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and have no rating lower than 50% in any of the subjects.

Expected Release of Results

The PRC passed a resolution regarding the LET Examination. According to PRC Resolution No. 1589 series of 2022, the target release of the September 2023 LET board exam result is on December 7, 2023 (Thursday), or 50 working days after the test.

There are so many factors that affect the target release date of the examination. Sometimes it could be late by a few days because of some factors.

The PRC noted that there may be some changes in the expected release date without prior notice due to calamities and unforeseen events, the system of checking the pencil-based tests, and the number of examinees.

Background of Previous LET Examination Results

During the March 2023 LET Exam, the PRC announced the results after 42 working days. PRC named 24,819 elementary teachers out of 60,896 examinees (40.76%) who successfully passed the exams.

Meanwhile, in the LET Secondary Level of the March 2023 Exam, the PRC named 24,819 Elementary Teachers out of 60,896 examinees (40.76%) who successfully passed the exams.

PRC Registration and Oathtaking of LET Passers

The PRC will announce later or once the results are out of the schedule for issuing a Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration for Elementary and Secondary level exams.

The Registration date will also be announced during the official release of the LET Exam Passers for September 2023.

The requirements for the issuance of a Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are the following:

  • Notice of Admission (for identification only);
  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal;
  • two pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete nametag);
  • two sets of documentary stamps;
  • 1 piece short brown envelope.

PRC said successful examinees should PERSONALLY register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date of the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examinations WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

LET Exam Coverage

The September 2023 LET covered two (2) parts for Elementary – General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%) and three (3) parts for Secondary – General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%) and Specialization (40%).

The test covered the major areas of General Education (English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences), Professional Education (teaching profession, social dimensions of education, principles of teaching, education technology, curriculum development, facilitating learning, child and adolescent development, assessment of student learning, developmental reading, field study, and practice teaching). The 8 specializations for Secondary Teacher with exam coverage depends on the chosen course: English, Filipino, Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Values Education, MAPEH, and TLTVE (Technology Livelihood, Tech-Voc Education.
