Prominent DDS Blogger and Us-based accountant Edwin Jamora showed some undeniable proof that indeed it was former President Cory Aquino who wanted former President Ferdinand Marcos out of the Philippines during the height of the EDSA Revolution in 1986.
Supporters of the Aquino’s and the mainstream media belied all claims that Cory Aquino had some hands in the controversial ouster of the former President.
Based on the report presented by the Committee on Armed Services of the US House of Representatives, the new President Cory Aquino advised US Ambassador Bosworth that she wanted former President Marcos out of the Philippines.
According to the report, the initial plan was to evacuate President Marcos and his party to Clark Air Force Base and then fly to his northern home province of Ilocos Norte.
The party composed of Former President Marcos and his wife, Imelda and immediate families as well as the first families immediate friends and relatives arrived at Clark after sunset, making it impossible to leave for the Laoag Airport in Ilocos Norte because the airport did not have runway lights.
The plan was to leave for Laoag at 10:00 in the morning, February 26th. However, after the party arrived at Clark Air Force Base, the new President, Corazon Aquino, advised Ambassador Bosworth that she wanted former President Marcos out of the Philippines.
Aside from the documents exposed on social media about the so-called statement of former Pres. Cory Aquino to get Marcos out of the Philippines, the First Female Supreme Court Associate Justice Cecilia Muñoz Palma also made a revelations in an interview with some media outlets.
According to Palma she was with Cory in the home of her sister Josephine Reyes. There Cory received the phone call from US Ambassador Bosworth, telling her that Marcos was ready to leave but was asking to stay for at least two days in Paoay, his home in the North.
Cory reacted by saying “Poor man,let’s give him two days.” But we did not agree with that idea. We thought that given the chance Marcos may regroup his forces or extend his stay indefinitely.
Aquino then called Ambassador Bosworth to say she could not grant the request, Marcos should just leave the country.
When US Ambassador Bosworth called Cory back, it was to say that Marcos had left. Cool as always, Cory turned to us after she put the phone down. She said simply “Marcos had left.” She said it as if it was the most ordinary thing. We all shouted.
