A former delegate of the United Nations and served as adviser of the United Nation’s General Assembly revealed the reasons behind empty seats at at UN during President Bongbong Marcos addressed to the 77th United Nations General Assembly.

There had been comments on social media that there were a lot of empty seats during President Bongbong Marcos’ speech at the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Some Kakampinks and even insisting that the few seats occupied is a sign of boycott by other countries but the reality is indeed harsh.

According to Mike Acebedo Lopez, it’s really the conduct of things of the UN Headquarters where the annual UN General Assembly is held.

Normal occurrence at the UN gathering is rarely full, and even at times when it is, you still find some empty seats owing to seat allocations and assignments per country.

In order to shed light with the issue, for some visuals, French President Macron and German Chancellor’s speeches were the same.

Been reading some people’s comments that there were a lot of empty seats during PBBM’s speech at the UN General Assembly in New York, with others insisting it’s a boycott by other countries. Sorry to burst your bitter bubble but it’s really the conduct of things at the UN Headquarters where the annual UN General Assembly is held. Normal occurrence, in other words.

It’s rarely full, and even at times when it is, you will still find some empty seats (owing to seat allocations and assignments per country), so try not to plaster your ignorance on your social account.

And I’m saying this as someone who’s actually been there as a delegate and who’s served as Adviser of the UN General Assembly’s Third Committee well over a decade ago. Also, here, for some visuals, French President Macron and German Chancellor’s speeches were the same.
